Ballykelly Primary School, Ballykelly, Limavady

Term 3

19th Jun 2019

Primary 6 have had a great end to the year and I can tell the children are well prepared for Primary 7.

In our Literacy work, the children were writing explainations about their favourite games on the playground, and using their knowledge of the weather and frogs they were able to write explainations on those as well. We have taken a closer look at adding more description into our writing, using adjectives to add description to a noun a adverbs to help tell us how or when to do something.

In numeracy the children completed a whole host of measure activities, including length, weight, volume and capacity. This linked in well with out topic of the Titanic which finally came to an end in April, with the great show of projects and boat in the hall.

To finish of the year the children were invited to the Kwik Cricket Tournament and had our final trip to Carrowmena. Both days were very much enjoyed and we were lucky on both days with the weather.

Finally, a big well done to all those who took part in Ballykelly's Got Talent, we had an excellent showing from Primary 6, you did us all proud. Well done.
