April 2024
29th Apr 2024
Throughout April, we continued our exploration of the 'People Who Help Us' theme. In nursery, we transformed a section into a hospital role-play area, where the children enthusiastically took on the roles of nurses, doctors, and patients. Additionally, we set up a McDonald's role-play area, sparking discussions about various foods and their nutritional value.
Our Construction role-play area saw plenty of activity, with children donning hard hats and hi-vis jackets as they engaged in building with blocks, tool benches, and kits. There was a flurry of repair work happening throughout nursery.
We wrapped up our Relax Kids classes with Ann, where we had a blast learning new exercises. Over at the Art Table, we busily crafted lots of spring creations.
Some of our Mums came into nursery to read to us, we loved this!
Towards the end of April, we began frequenting the canteen more often, using dinner trays in preparation for transitioning to Primary One in September. We also started visiting the school library and computer suite.
Outdoors, we welcomed new toys and took advantage of the pleasant weather to test our agility by jumping over hurdles and practising balance on new beams at Rainbow Cottage.
What a whirlwind of activities April brought us!
