We have had such a busy time this month. We visited the Computer room each week and played lots of games on the computers and iPads. We have now visited all of the key areas in the 'big school'.
As the weather was so nice we used the grass area beside nursery and played with our outdoor toys in the sunshine. It was great to have so much space to run around and play with our friends. We practised our Potato and Spoon race, skipping, running and jumping races for Sports Day as well. When Sports Day arrived we got a certificate and medal for taking part.
We released our nursery butterflies into our outdoor play area. We waved goodbye as they flew off over to the big school.
The next event in the diary was our Graduation Day. All our families came along and we sang songs and told everyone about the things we learned during the year in nursery. We made our own graduation hats and wore our gowns for this special day. We also worked hard to learn our graduation song for our families to enjoy.
During our final week in nursery Andy King arrived in his ice cream van and we had an ice cream picnic outside. Parky The Magician also visited nursery for our end of year party. We loved his magic tricks and some of us helped him to do some magic!
We spent two afternoons over in Primary One meeting our new teachers and classmates. We loved playing with the toys and making new friends in Primary One! Miss Begley and Mrs Moore also visited the nursery and played with us and had their snack with us. We can't wait to see them in September. We are all ready for Primary One.
