P2 have been learning about signs of Spring and today we went for a walk down the Fishmongers' Trail to look for some signs of Spring. We saw some lovely Spring flowers as well as buds on the trees. We experienced some Spring weather-showers!!
When we were at the pond we noticed there was lots of frogspawn in the pond. There was even some on one of the benches which was strange! With Mrs Whyte's help we filled some tubs with pond water and a little frogspawn. We carefully brought it back to class and put it in a tank. We are going to watch it hatch into tadpoles and watch them grow. When they get their legs we are going to return them to the pond so they can finish turning into frogs.
We had so much fun!
