P3TB Great Summer Term

27th Jun 2024

Primary 3 Summer Term

As we reach the end of an exciting and eventful school year, I wanted to take a moment to share some of the wonderful activities and achievements from Primary 3. It has been a pleasure to see each child grow and develop in so many ways. Here are some highlights from our year:

Forest School Adventures

We have thoroughly enjoyed our forest school activities this year. The children have engaged in numerous outdoor learning experiences, fostering a deep connection with nature. From building dens to exploring local wildlife, every session has been filled with adventure and discovery.

Mastering Column Addition and Subtraction

In maths, the children have become proficient in column addition and subtraction, also known as the "upstairs downstairs" method. They have worked hard to understand and apply these concepts, showing tremendous progress and confidence in their mathematical abilities.

Creative Writing - Little Red Riding Hood

Our literacy sessions have been equally exciting, with the children writing their own versions of Little Red Riding Hood. Their stories were imaginative and creative, showcasing their growing skills in storytelling and writing. It was wonderful to see their unique twists on this classic tale.

Trip to Gortnahey Play Park

A highlight of our year was our trip to Gortnahey Play Park. The children had a fantastic time exploring the park, playing on the equipment, and enjoying a day out with their friends. It was a memorable experience for everyone involved.

End of Year Party

To celebrate all our hard work and achievements, we had a joyous end-of-year party. The children had a great time playing games, dancing, and sharing treats. It was a wonderful way to wrap up our year together.

Ready for Primary 4!

As we conclude our year in Primary 3, we are excited to transition to Primary 4 with Mr. McGinnis and Miss Lockington. I am confident that the children are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. They have shown resilience, enthusiasm, and a love for learning that will serve them well in their future studies.

Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to seeing everyone in the new school year!

Best regards,

Mr. Brown
