P3TB’s First Three Weeks at School: A Fantastic Start to the Term!
The new school year is off to a flying start in P3TB, and we’ve had an exciting and creative first three weeks! We’ve already been busy learning about Spain, exploring its vibrant culture through beautiful Spanish art and flamenco dancing. 💃🎨 The children loved immersing themselves in the colors, sounds, and rhythms of Spain, and it has brought so much joy to our classroom.
We also had a wonderful visit from the Skills School, where the children practiced new skills through fun, hands-on activities. It was a great way to build confidence and teamwork!
We’re thrilled to continue our *Musical Pathways* journey with Miss Una this term. 🎶 The class is already having a fantastic time learning about rhythm and music—what a great way to keep the creativity flowing!
Looking Ahead This Term
As we move towards Halloween, here’s a glimpse of what’s coming up:
- In our number work, we’ll be focusing on mental maths. The children will be working on sharpening their mental calculation skills through engaging games and activities.
- In our literacy, we’re diving into writing recounts and sharing our own news. This will help us develop our writing skills while expressing our thoughts and experiences in fun and creative ways.
- For World Around Us, we’re learning all about the weather! 🌦️ From sunny days to stormy skies, we’ll explore the different weather patterns and their effects on the world. This ties perfectly with our class picture book for the term, Storm by Sam Usher, a beautifully illustrated story that the children are already enjoying.
We’re looking forward to continuing our journey of learning, exploring, and creating throughout this first term. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we head towards Halloween!
