P7GC - Term 1 - 2023/24
P7GC have made a great start to what is their final year at Ballykelly Primary School. They have been working really hard in class, on both their Maths and English, whilst they have also been learning about and developing their knowledge of the Titanic, our topic for World Around Us this term.
As well as the English and Maths work going on in school, the children have also been able to showcase their talents and qualities in many other areas of the curriculum. They have been researching different countries using the Internet, in order to create fact-files using MS Word, whilst they have also produced a range of wonderful art pieces linked to our shared novel, Kensuke’s Kingdom, and our WAU topic, the Titanic. In PE, we have been focusing on ball games, including mat-ball, netball and basketball. The children also love the odd game of dodgeball!!
A number of children have been working towards their SEAG exams over the last number of months and are to be commended for their hard work to date. We wish these children the very best of luck in sitting these tests, and for when it comes to getting their results in January. You have all worked so hard and should be extremely proud of yourselves!!
It has been a great first term in P7GC, and with lots more to look forward to in terms 2 and 3, including the school trip to Carlingford, it’s sure to be a year to remember for these P7s!!Ballykelly Primary School, 8 Glenhead Road, Ballykelly, Limavady, BT49 9JS Phone: 028 7776 2864
