P3/4CL have settled into the new school year. We had great fun learning about life in The Netherlands and sharing all our learning with the Primary 6 children. We learnt about the artists Piet Mondrian and Rembrandt. We produced some lovely artwork of our own too! We even made our own windmills and delft pottery plates. We loved tasting food from The Netherlands like Edam cheese, Gouda cheese and Stroopwafels.
As part of our weather topic, we have been reading the book “Storm” by Sam Usher and we have written great sentences. We even wrote our own poem together! We used the iPad to draw our favourite kind of weather. We learnt about warm and cold colours and enjoyed mixing our own creations!
In our Forest School lessons, we have been looking out for signs of Autumn. We gathered twigs of all shapes and sizes and used them to spell out our names.
