This year Ballykelly and Faughanvale continue our Shared Education partnership. Primary 5 and 6 are working with Project Sparks, this is an organisation that works with young people with additional needs to promote the arts. Our children have been learning songs, dance moves and how to play the drums.
Each class have 3 sessions in the Hub to prepare their song for the Shared Education Performance on Tuesday 7th April. The children are having the opportunity to make new friends and to learn new skills. Children collaborate with leaders and Sparks teachers to compose music, words and movement.
The children are also working on being performers, developing their confidence and getting over their fears of performing in front of an audience.
