P2 JW have had a wonderful term! We have worked so hard at learning our keywords and our number stories to 7. We had great fun finding out and learning new things during our theme 'Me and My World'. We loved making a map of the school and looking at different buildings in our village. During our time in the playroom we used our imaginations to make and paint some of the buildings we had seen and to paint ourselves. Everyone is very good at taking pictures with the iPad and we had a good time taking selfies and using Pic Collage to make them into posters. We finished for our break at Halloween with an exciting Autumn Scavenger Hunt in our Fishmongers' Trail. We got to dress up and after lunch we had a disco which was lots of fun!
After our Halloween break we began to practise our lines and songs for our Christmas Show, 'A Christmas Recipe'. Mrs Whyte was so proud of how hard we worked and how well we sang our songs and said our lines! It was a little scary being on stage in front of all the adults but we really enjoyed it. We also began work on a new theme called 'In the Toybox'. We were so excited to be in the playroom pretending to shop in the toyshop or work in Santa's Workshop. His elves have to work so hard making lists of toys and then making and wrapping all the toys for the boys and girls. We wrote our letters to Santa and walked down into the village to post them. We hope Santa sends us back a reply!
We are so looking forward to Christmas but we are having so much fun in school. We've been to see Santa on our Santa trail and we got a treat, we've watched a lovely movie on the Mobile Cinema called 'The Search For Santa Paws' and we're getting to see a Magic Show after our school Christmas Dinner!
Mrs Whyte and Mrs Bellingham are very proud of our excellent work and behaviour this term and are very sure we're all on the naughty oops sorry nice list this Christmas!!
