Term 1
Term 1
I have been very impressed with how fantastic P6JS have been . They have settled into school again and adapted to the ‘new normal’. They have learnt very quickly the new school day routine and sometimes they even have to remind me!
In P6 we have been spending a lot of time listening and learning about emotions through our PATHS lessons. We have a new Pupil of the Day everyday – I really enjoy listening to the class when they give each other beautiful compliments.
We all have been working so hard at every aspect of the curriculum. Our topic is The Titanic. The children have been learning and exploring lots of facts about the Titanic.
In numeracy P6 have been working extremely hard with addition, subtraction , multiplication and division. They can be difficult at times, but P6 are so good at helping each other out and showing each other examples of how to complete sums!
Our class novel is The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas – P6 have enjoyed the start to the novel. I have enjoyed listening to them read aloud and listen to their interpretation of the text.
P6 are showing me their incredible writing skills! They have shown me how to write a recount and we have just started to plan our instructional writing of How to Catch a Niffler!
I have been very impressed with P6’s ICT skills – They completed a full week of Remote Learning. They joined my live lessons every morning and completed fantastic work on Microsoft Teams!
Thank you to everyone for such hard work this term!
