Term 1

10th Dec 2019

In P4CL, we had a busy first term!  In September we prepared an Assembly for our friends and family.  It was all about how people look at the outside but God looks at our heart.  We performed a Bible story about Samuel anointing David as king.

We have been enjoying lots of Numeracy and Literacy activities as well as Art and Topic work based around “Never Eat Shredded Wheat”.  John Howe from Marshall Howe fruit shop came and told us all about different fruit and vegetables and we even got to taste some new foods such as figs and pomegranates.

We have been learning to use money and we enjoyed ‘going shopping’ with Miss Lockington and working out how much change she owed us!  We have written super recounts about our weekend news and are learning to write instructions.

Everyone enjoyed our trip to Foyle Film Festival where we met up with our friends from Faughanvale School.  We all try hard to keep the Golden Rules, and we look forward to Golden Time treats on a Friday such as pyjama parties, bikes and flickers, art and craft, decorating biscuits, visiting Tommy's chip shop or buying sweets in Supervalu.

In December, we have been busy with Christmas art and practising for our Christmas Show. Miss Lockington was proud of us because we all took part and did so well!
