P3 have been really busy this term. We have enjoyed our "World Around Us" topic called "The Famous Five." We loved learning facts all about Louis Braille, Florence Nightingale, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell and the explorer Christopher Columbus. We even had the opportunity to make I Movies about this topic.
In numeracy, we have been learning all about time. We have been learning that there are 60 minutes in an hour and that the minute hand points to 6 when it's half past. We know all about quarter past and quarter to the hour too.
We held a celebration after our Paired Reading Programme. A large number of children took part in the programme for another year and the parents were very impressed with the progression their children had made with their reading skills. It was a very enjoyable experience for both parents and children, with each child receiving a new book to enjoy at home. A real success this year again.
Faughanvale Primary School are our Shared Education Partners. We visit our different schools and enjoy taking part in exciting STEM activities. We have some of our work displayed around our classroom and in our cloakroom for everyone to view.
