P5 are continuing to make great progress- this term we have really enjoyed Shared Education with Faughanvale. Our Principals have organised fantastic activities and a big thank you to Skill School for leading 2 of the sessions.
We also enjoyed when Lord Cairns came to visit our school. We made flags and the whole school made a Guard of Honour. Some boys and girls in our class have been selected for the vocal choir. They also performed for Lord Cairns.
This term we had the Speech and Drama Festival in Roe Valley Arts and Culture Centre. We are so proud of all the boys and girls from our class who stood up and said the poem with great expression and confidence.
A new Mathematics award has been introduced for the class who is spending the most time on Freckle. We were delighted when it was announced that we were the first ever winners of this trophy. It will be reviewed every month - let's hope we can hang on to it.
We are also very excited about our show The Wizard of Oz. Everyone has been working very hard and we only have a few weeks before our performances.
In class we are really enjoying our new class novel, How to Train a Dragon. We also enjoyed our Space topic and know all about the planets and we even designed posters using Adobe encouraging people to go on holiday to Space. In Numeracy we have been learning all about money and now we have started looking at measures.
Everyone is ready for their Easter holidays- have a lovely break and we will see you all in Term 3.
