We have all been very busy this term in P3/4CL!
After the Easter holidays we enjoyed making a Spring card and gift for our friends at Cornfield Care Home through our Shared Education partnership with Faughanvale Primary School. This month we are making our final gifts and planting a lovely plant pot to share with each resident.
In Numeracy we have been learning all about measuring and we have been using metre sticks, rulers, balance scales and measuring jugs in our practical activities.
We enjoyed racing on our Sports Day and it was a lovely treat when the ice cream van visited!
As part of our topic this term, we designed and planted ‘grass heads’. It was good fun watching their ‘hair’ grow long and we enjoyed cutting and styling it! We also planted beans and are watching very carefully to see if they germinate. We can see some roots and shoots already! As part of the school garden project with Tony, we planted sunflowers and designed a stone to add to the whole school collection.
Miss Lockington has promised us a party in June because we have all worked very hard this year! We are all looking forward to our Summer holidays soon!
