We have all been very busy this term in P3/4CL!
After the Easter holidays we started our new topic “Here comes the sun” – we all had fun learning about shadows and drawing shadow shapes in the playground. We also planted some pear trees in the school garden with Chris and have been watching to see them change and grow.
In Numeracy we have been learning all about measuring and we have been using metre sticks, rulers, balance scales and measuring jugs in our practical activities.
Lots of our class took part in the Paired Reading programme and we read great books from the library. There was a brilliant selection of books to buy at the book fair too. We designed a sandcastle to see who could win a token to spend.
We have had lots of opportunities to use our creative talents in Art lessons. We experimented with colour mixing and designed lovely golden carriages for the Jubilee.
We enjoyed racing on our Sports Day and had a super time on our trip to Gortnahey Play park - it was a lovely treat when the ice cream van visited!
Miss Lockington and Rhonda have promised us a party in June because we have all worked very hard this year! We are all looking forward to our Summer holidays soon!
