Oh how time has flown in Term 3!
After the Easter holidays we have been learning about Time, length alongside adding/subtracting HTU and multiplying in Numeracy. In Literacy we have enjoyed writing our own Fairy Tale stories and sharing them with the class.
Our Term 3 Topic, ‘Here Comes the Sun’ allowed us all to discuss the importance of keeping safe in the Sun.
Lots of children within the class took part in the Paired Reading programme and we read a great selection of books from the library. During this programme the school Book Fair was held in school and had a super selection of books to buy. A competition was held to design a sandcastle and the winner received a £5 token to spend.
P4 participated in the Gardening Project and grew some ‘Rocket’ with Chris. They were always enthusiastic to go and water the ‘Rocket’ and watch it change from seed to produce!
P4 have enjoyed the playtrail, Fishmongers’ Trail and participating on Sports Day. However, the highlight of the year was our class trip to Gortnahey Play Park and the visit of the ice cream van. This was a great day and it was enjoyed by everyone in the class.
I would like to wish all the children a relaxing and safe Summer break. Good luck for Primary Five!
