Term 3

18th Jun 2019

This term P2JW have had lots of new experiences and we've been learning lots of exciting things!

One of our highlights was when we had 5 very tiny visitors arrive in our classroom! We watched our caterpillars grow from very small black lines to big caterpillars. We could see their eyes and legs as they crawled around their tub! There was great excitement when they hung from the lid and got into their chrysalis'. After a couple of weeks they started to hatch and when all 5 were out we released them in our Fishmongers' Trail. We were a bit sad that they had to go but they were ready to start their new lives and who knows they might make it to Africa!

We had a visit from the dentist and a visit from the dental nurse this term so we are looking after our teeth really well! We even got a tooth brush and tooth paste from the dental nurse to help us!

Sports Day was another highlight this term! We had put in lots of practice and were looking forward to each race. We did our very best for all the races and had lots of fun. We all loved getting our stickers and our medals at the end. Well done to Davin as well for getting the P2 Boys Cup.

We have completed lots of work as well this term learning about time in Numeracy and revising all our sounds and keywords. We have been finding out about how transport has changed over time and thinking about the different journeys we make. In the playroom we have been making passports, ticket labels, planning our holidays and booking our holidays at the travel agents!

We went to Alcorn's Tropical World for our trip and had a great time seeing lots of different insects, butterflies and animals. We even got to stroke a Bearded Dragon!

It's hard to believe we have finished P2 but we are all ready to start a new adventure in P3. Have a lovely summer and stay safe P2 from Mrs Whyte and Mrs Bellingham.
