Term 3

WOW! What a busy year we have had in Term 3!

This term, pupils in P5/6RM have enjoyed learning about Fractions, Decimals and Percentages in Numeracy, as well as Area and Perimeter, Angles and Measures. We have enjoyed applying our learning to a range of problems and real-life scenarios. We also looked at Data Handling and loved to get out into the local area to gather data and create bar and pie charts using ICT. 

In Literacy, we focussed on writing Peruasive pieces of writing and enjoyed writing to the local council to help secure some new bins for our local area to ensure the area is clean, tidy and pleasing for all. We also enjoyed learning new elements of grammar and continuing with our Accelerated Reading Programme. Everyone managed to achieve their target and celebrated with an amazing fun day at school! 

At the begining of the term, we performed our school show - Mary Poppins. All members of the cast thorougly enjoyed their performance and reviews were outstanding! 

This term, we also celebrated Around the World week with a range of fun and interesting activities. Our class focussed on the continent of Africa. During this time, we learnt about African mountains, populations, countries, flags and food. We ended the week with a fabulous food event celebrating culture. 

We finished off our year in P5/6 with our annual sports day and school trip! This has been a fantastic year, everyone has worked super hard all year and made great progress with their learning.
