P5-7 children partake daily in the Accelerated Reading Programme in school. Each term new targets are set and children work hard to read their books and answer the quizzes to reach their target. A target has been set for each child for this term with prizes awarded at Christmas.

Termly draws encourage children to read books carefully to get 100% in their quizzes. Each time a child gets 100% in their quiz they receive a raffle ticket. At the end of term all the tickets are entered into a class draw for a range of prizes. 

When children read a million words they join the Millionaire Club and receive a special treat.

Accelerated Reading is a great way of encouraging children to read and to expand their vocabulary.
