P7GC - Term 1

21st Dec 2022

P7GC have had a great (and very busy) first term, in what is their final year at Ballykelly Primary School. The children have been working very well in both Maths and English, whilst they have participated keenly in our World Around Us topic, “Location, Location, Location.” They have also enjoyed lessons in ICT, Art and PE – particularly a competitive game of dodgeball!! Recently, a number of children completed their AQE exams – they put a lot of time and effort into preparing for this and should be commended for their hard work and dedication.

As well as all the hard work going on inside the classroom, the children have been fortunate enough to take part in numerous other activities elsewhere. Dry Arch led a workshop during anti-bullying week, whilst more recently, all P7s were invited into St. Mary’s to take part in the Linking Learning programme. It was a very fun, but informative day, with the children being able to carry out some of their very own science experiments using Bunsen burners! In the lead up to Christmas, P7s also got the opportunity to watch Limavady High School’s impressive performance of the well-known musical, Bugsy Malone.

P7GC are very much looking forward to what lies ahead in the terms to come, which will include the likes of swimming and the residential trip to Carlingford! For now, we would just like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
