Term 1

Primary 6TB had a fantastic start to the year. We were so lucky to go on numerous trips and days out which will no doubt enhance our learning experience.

Our first wee trip was up to Belfast and a visit to the Crumlin Road Goal. We learnt a lot about the history of the jail and how children were treated. The best part had to be the tunnel under the roads which took prisoners over to the court house across the road.

The children also learnt some fantastic orienteering skills with Fred from the Limavady Orienteering Club. It was a great combination of fitness and map reading skills. We went to practice these skills at Limavady Grammar School and did a fantastic job.

Out final trip, and by far the best school trip EVER!!! Was our day out at Project Sparks. The children had a brilliant day leaning, drumming, singing and dancing to put together a final performance along with the students up at Project Sparks. If you haven’t seen it, head over to our Facebook page and look in the video section.

On top of all this the children have completed some great numeracy and literacy classwork. We’ve had our class assembly and worked really well alongside our friends in Mr Fleming’s P6 class.
